Data Axle acquires Exact Data, a direct marketing company

US-based Data Axle, formerly known as Infogroup, has acquired multi-channel direct marketing solutions specialist Exact Data for an undisclosed amount.
Chicago-based Exact Data offers online and offline consumer behavior data, specializing in postal, email and telephone list solutions from its millions of consumer and business email addresses. The company will now be integrated with the Data Axle USA division, providing customers with single access to lists, data solutions, email marketing, online advertising, social media advertising, research paid and direct mail for small and medium businesses.
The acquisition also expands Data Axle USA’s customer base, bringing its total number of SMB customers to more than 40,000 organizations. Data Axle CEO Michael Iaccarino said after working in partnership for more than ten years, the Data Axle team knew that Exact Data would be a “natural fit” for their business.
Exact Data CEO Larry Organ (pictured), who has now been named CEO of Data Axle, adds: “In addition to the strategic alignment of our businesses, our vision for the future of data-driven marketing couldn’t be more in sync.
