Direct Business Media launches a new print title – Folio:


Direct Business Media, a b-to-b media company based in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, is launching a new print title called Pro Contractor Rentals. The 6x frequency title will debut in January 2014, but the brand’s website and email newsletter will launch this fall.

“We believe that by developing our email newsletter and website first, we will inform our audience more quickly about the mission of Pro Contractor Rentals,” said editor Rick Monogue. “And that will allow us to start building our brand as soon as possible.”

Direct Business Media already owns two titles serving similar markets – Industrial Supply and Contractor Supply – and publishes directories for the Specialty Tools and Fasteners Distributors Association and the Industrial Supply Association.

The title, initially distributed to a controlled circle of 13,500 copies, will be managed by Monogue and publisher Dave Wolff, both of whom were recently at Cygnus Business Media.

The brand will target independent tool and equipment rental centers and dealerships serving professional contractors.
