We have a tremendous opportunity for a dynamic, junior to mid-level social media specialist to join the social media department of a well-established full-service digital agency in Bloubergstrand Cape Town. We are looking for someone with a perfect command of the English language, able to write for different audiences. The agency primarily works with small to medium lifestyle B2C clients, giving you the ability to create content for some super accounts. This is a client facing role and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the platforms. If you’re fluent in Meta/Facebook Business Manager and have some experience with paid social campaigns, reporting and Google Analytics (even if it’s basic), we’re looking for you! Apply today.

Responsibilities

  • Management of various profiles on social networks
  • Compile monthly content for (but not limited to) Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
  • Social media community management
  • Briefing of content requirements in the studio to meet agreed deadlines
  • Paid media and budget management
  • Analyze statistics and compile reports
  • Build a strategy based on the client’s existing brand and business goals
  • Development, planning and monitoring of social media campaigns.
  • Reporting and monitoring of social media trends and competitor content
  • Writing and proofreading
  • Build, develop and maintain relationships with clients.

Terms
The successful candidate must have/be:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in marketing, communication or similar
  • 3 to 5 years in marketing or similar position
  • Extensive experience with social media marketing
  • Good communicator and able to communicate with people from all walks of life
  • Excellent writing skills and experience writing compelling content
  • Passionate, energetic and motivated go-getter who wants to make a difference
  • Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google, Tik Tok)
  • Extensive experience working with Facebook Business Manager and Ads Manager
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Paid Advertising
  • A proactive team player with strong initiative and a creative spirit
  • Meeting deadlines, able to work under pressure and take responsibility for work
  • Results-oriented and strategic thinking
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
